Yimei C. Hammond

Personal Information:

Yimei’s areas of practice include patent prosecution in a variety of technology areas, freedom to practice opinions, validity opinions and patentability opinions; licensing agreements (joint development, joint venture, letter of intent, confidentiality agreement); due diligence review of intellectual property assets and patent portfolio management; trademark application and prosecution, and copyright consultation.

Yimei’s degrees are in Biological Science and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and she worked in the areas of chemical and analytical methods, formulation development, and scale-up. Her principal areas of technology include medical devices, nanotechnology, polymer technology, pharmaceutical formulation, chemical engineering, chemistry, fuel cell technologies and biotechnology. She also has prosecuted patent applications in the areas of mechanical devices and consumer products, among others.

Yimei was a former adjunct professor teaching biological science, chemistry, and natural sciences. Prior to joining Kremblas & Foster, Mrs. Hammond was a partner of Butzer & Chen, LLC (intellectual property law firm) from 2006-2008; a scientist from 1995-2001 in DuPont Merck Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Global Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Mutual Pharmaceuticals/URL and Boehringer Ingelheim-Roxane Laboratories, Inc.

FDA guidelines in the areas of ANDA, cGMP, PAI, DEA, SOP, Patents, ICH, NDA..

Pharmaceutical product development and associated documentation: pre-formulation researches, immediate and delay-release solid formulations (from inception to transfer of the production-size validation batches, including formulation design, scale-up, and coating), troubleshooting production problems, reformulating and developing solid dosage formulations under the constraints of Scale-Up and Post Approval Changes Guidelines (SUPAC).
